ABOUT US
Based in Chichester we provide conservation for brick, flint and stone walling. Material matching and specifying lime mortars of varying strength, colour and permeability are key to our work.

Additionally we deliver lectures at the Weald and Downland Museum and at Fort Widley in the Conservation of Brickwork. We tutor courses for home owners, trades people, college and MSc students.
Our Services

Gauged Brickwork
The finest form of brickwork;
We meticulously hand-cut and rub specialist bricks, whether on-site or in our workshop, to preserve the intricate details of each element

Mathematical Tiles
Predominantly found in Sussex and Kent, these ingenious tiles were used to modernise the front of properties - whilst also providing weathering and avoiding brick tax.

Repointing
We find many period properties with damp issues due to recessed pointing or cement pointing holding in moisture.

Stonework
We are fortunate to have local sources of stone still available to us. Where quarries have closed, we work hard to find a suitable match.

Flintwork
There are many types of flint, matching the flint and the style in which it has been built requires patience and experience.

Wall Tie Replacement
Early cavity walls may have no wall ties or rusting ties which cause cracks and invite water ingress.
Removal of the rusting ties before introducing new stainless ties is often requied.
