CPD plays an important role the heritage sector. I am currently undertaking a Diploma in Historic Building Conservation at West Dean College as well as delivering lectures on Conservation of Brickwork at the Weald and Downland Museum.

WEST DEAN COLLEGE

Skills and materials used for centuries have been lost in just a few decades. Subject specialists are now working to reintroduced these methods back into the construction industry.

WEALD AND DOWNLAND MUSEUM

The Weald and Downland Museum is a very special place for me, From visiting as a child, being involved in the rebuiling of a dismantled barn and now joining the team of experts tutoring for their MsC students.

THE SPAB

Education is high on the agenda for The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings. During my time with them I have had the opportunity to learn invaluable skills, and subject knowledge. A highlight being building a lime kiln from stabilised soil and burning our own feebly hydraulic lime.
